We
are a licensed childcare center providing care for infants and toddlers.
To meet the ever-increasing demand by our parents at our
sister school on 519 Guy Dr.for quality infant toddler care, we opened
this location at 2202 Saulsbury Dr.
Our center has been operating at this location for the
past year. We were built with five classrooms and two playgrounds in
order to provide a small, loving environment for your child to learn and
grow. Playgrounds are developmentally separated so that every child can
have the opportunity to play safely.
We offer an excellent educational program for our
children, over and above our weekly themes shown on our lesson plans.
Our Toddler curriculum is based on the CIRCLE Preschool Early Language
and Literacy Training Program. Along with the Belton Independent School
District we teach the children to learn and play in a center based
classroom. Classroom management is also a very important part of this
program. Everything in the classrooms must be labeled with the objects’
name and picture in order to enhance word recognition. Hand in hand
with CIRCLE we also implement Zoo-phonics®. Zoo-Phonics® uses a cast of
animal characters, sounds, and body movement that directly relates to
the animal and letter allowing the children to utilize the alphabet. You
will be amazed when your child can recognize letter sounds after
mastering this program.
Our infant curriculum is centered on exploratory
learning. Each classroom is filled with age appropriate equipment that
fosters the development of each child. The infants are allowed to
explore their surrounding as they learn through play. They are taught
baby signs starting in Room 1. We feel that is a very important part of
our curriculum as it aides in the communication between the child and
their caregiver. Some of the most basic signs that are taught are
“more”, “milk”, “eat”, and “all done.”
To enhance our curriculum we offer Spanish twice a
week. The children are taught basic Spanish vocabulary through songs
and games. When children are exposed to this at a young age, it makes
it easier for them to learn a second language later in life. Our
parents are happy that their children are allowed to experience this
extra curricular activity while at The Peanut Gallery.
We look forward to showing you around our center which
will give you the opportunity to experience our children in action as
they enjoy their day at The Peanut Gallery.
Please give us a call to arrange for a visit at (254)
