To give you a better idea about all that our school has to offer we are excited to introduce you to Latrina Helfrich, our Preschool Director at The Peanut Gallery in Dallas, Texas.

Welcome to The Peanut Gallery, my name is Latrina Helfrich I am the Center Director and Nickole Vieau is my Assistant. We are a Licensed Child Development Center providing care for Infants to Pre-schoolers. We have three Infant programs with a ratio of 2-8 in each room. We have two Toddler classrooms with a ratio of 1-5 for the younger toddler’s ages 12mos. to 18mos. and 1-9 for the older toddler’s ages 18mos. to 24mos. In our Two’s program the ratio is 1-11 we offer two, two year old programs younger two’s and older two’s. Then we have the Pre-School age 3-5, in the Three’s our ratio is 1-15, older three and younger fours is 1-18, and our older fours and fives ratio is 1-18 as well.

This location has been operating for the past 18 years. We are located right near the Galleria Mall right off 635. We have three equipped playgrounds. One playground for our Toddlers, we have one large playground for our Two’s, as well as a front playground for our Pre-school age children. Our equipment is checked appropeately daily by our Safety Patrol Staff. As well, as right before the children go on the playground by their teacher.

The Curriculum we use is Creative Kaleidoscope. This curriculum if filled with the follow key components. Toddlers and Twos: Baby Signs, Colors and Shapes, Critical Thinking, Opposites as well as Fun with Fitness and Zoo Phonics. As for our Pre-School age: Phonics Focus, Math Connection, Art, Literature, Writing, Color, Shapes, Opposites, Baby Signs, and Science as well as Fun with Fitness and Zoo Phonics. Our extra curricular activities include Spanish, Tumble Gym, and Computer and with our older Pre-School class we offer a Kindergarten Club.
